#No Power? No Problem!

That was our mantra as we began our weekend’s Delving into Differentiation workshop! After (really still during) a significant wind storm that cancelled schools on Friday, shut down the Federal Government, and left many in in the dark, we arrived to find out our venue was without power and running on a backup generator.

“No power? No problem!” Onward.  We’re teachers; that’s what we do.

So that’s what we did! We could not be more proud of the 110 participants and how they handled what could have been an uncomfortable situation.  We taught the first morning without microphones, speakers, Internet or video capability, and running water.  But, we made it work.  We’re teachers; that’s what we do. Argyle Country Club went above and beyond the call of duty to meet every possible need and make participants feel welcomed and comfortable.  We cannot thank them enough!

This was a great lesson in being conscious of how we handle things and setting an example.  This could have been a disaster! However, it was one of the best workshops we’ve ever had.  #No Power? No Problem!
